Analyzed historical site characterization data and TCE concentration trends to characterize fracture zones in fractured dolostone aquifer and the factors affecting pump and treat system performance. The revised Conceptual Site Model provided the basis for reducing extraction rates and remedial costs. This project is an excellent example of how a detailed reexamination of existing site data can provide a refined understanding of site conditions, reconsideration of remediation strategy and reduction of long-term costs, and in helping to reach consensus with regulators.
